Loris is a freelance colorist and content creator based in Montreal, Canada, specializing in commercial and cinematic color grading. Known for his scientific approach to color and his deep passion for film emulation, he builds every grade on a precise technical foundation, from density and tonal structure to split tone and skin rendering.
His work spans advertising and digital content, with a visual signature rooted
in the aesthetics of analog film. Open blacks, compressed highlights, and a carefully balanced chromatic identity that feels both cinematic and natural.
Originally from France, Loris developed his expertise working across European productions before relocating to Montreal to expand his reach across
the North American market. He now works with clients across Europe and North America, bringing a transatlantic creative perspective to each project.
Beyond client work, Loris created his own professional DCTL tools for DaVinci Resolve and founded Gamma, a color grading training program built
around color science, practical methodology, and a community of over
136K followers on Instagram.
His approach to color is shaped by a long-standing obsession with film stocks, Kodak emulsions, and the way light behaves on a physical negative, a reference that runs through everything he creates.
